What to Expect
Texas CarpetFest is a annual gathering of Morelia and reptile lovers in the beautiful hill country of Texas.This year's event will take place from 2pm to 11pm at the Reptilandia Zoo in Johnson City, Texas on Saturday October 19th. Imagine a backyard BBQ with all your favorite reptile friends! You don't want to miss it!
Rules and Requests
1. There is no fee to attend but please check in upon arrival and get a wristband. This will provide you access to the zoo at no cost.
2. We will fire up the grill a little after 5pm and provide food at no cost. We expect to have burgers, dogs, brats and boudin. If you prefer a vegetarian option or something else, you may need to bring it with you.
3. BYOB. We will have some soft drinks and water available but you have to provide your own adult beverages. The zoo is open to the public until 5pm, so we do ask folks to wait until after that time to imbibe. And please be responsible!
4. NO LIVE ANIMALS. I'm sure you have some awesome animals in your collection, but take some pictures and leave the animals at home. Reptilandia might be the best reptile zoo in the country, they have plenty of amazing animals to admire.
Auction
This year we will be having a live auction at the event to raise funds for USARK. This will not be a marathon auction but rather two or three unique or custom items designed or acquired especially for Texas CarpetFest! All funds generated by the live auction will be donated directly to USARK!
